Terms of Use

The terms for using SolarQuery, submitting an enquiry, registering a service business and accessing subscription-based leads.

Policy draft · reviewed 7 October 2026

This draft reflects SolarQuery’s confirmed service-platform model. The registered operator’s full legal name and address, grievance-officer details, launch date and operating arrangements must be completed and reviewed before publication.

The practical version

  • SolarQuery is a connection platform; independent providers perform the services.
  • Customers contract with and pay providers directly.
  • Relevant paid subscriptions govern vendors’ access to customer lead details.
  • No match, exclusive lead, completed sale or savings outcome is guaranteed.

1. Using SolarQuery

These Terms of Use describe the relationship between SolarQuery and people using its website, enquiry process, vendor-registration facilities and subscription-based lead-access services. “Customer” means a person seeking a service. “Provider” or “vendor” means an independent business offering that service. “Lead” means the project and contact information made available under the platform’s access rules.

Read these terms with the Privacy, Refund and Shipping Policies and any specific subscription order you accept. If you buy a plan, the order should record the price, tax treatment, duration, access entitlements, limits and renewal arrangements. A specific written plan commitment governs its subject; it cannot remove rights that the law does not allow us to exclude.

You must be an adult legally able to enter the relevant arrangement. If you act for a business or property owner, you must have authority to provide the information and make the decisions involved. Do not create requests on behalf of someone who has not authorised them.

2. Platform identity and notices

SolarQuery is the name of the platform described in this policy. Contact us at support@solarquery.com, +91 98179 97081 (India) or +1 415 484 0053 (USA). A support number does not establish a local office.

3. What the platform provides

SolarQuery helps customers describe a solar-service need and connects them with relevant independent providers. Our team may call the customer, add information to the lead form and identify providers by service and area. Subscription entitlements determine which providers may view customer contact details.

SolarQuery does not perform installations, issue engineering designs as a contractor, sell or ship solar products, or collect project payments on behalf of providers. Descriptions of services identify the work a customer may request; they do not mean SolarQuery supplies it.

We are at the vendor-onboarding stage in India, the USA, the UAE, Australia, Israel and Indonesia. There are no registered businesses listed at present. If there is no local provider, we may search manually or advise that the request cannot be served. We do not promise a match, an immediate response from a provider or an installation appointment.

4. Customer enquiries and verification

Provide accurate contact and location details and describe the service honestly. Do not submit fictitious projects, someone else’s contact details, spam, or information that you are not entitled to disclose. Keep any verification code private; SolarQuery support should not ask you to disclose payment or banking OTPs.

Contact verification establishes access to the provided channel. A team call clarifies the project; neither is a guarantee of identity, property ownership, technical feasibility or provider availability. The customer should correct errors and tell us when the project changes or is no longer needed.

An enquiry is not an order, a site booking or acceptance of a quote. Provider contact and project sharing follow the notice and permission shown for that request. An availability-update request can be used for follow-up about availability; it must not be treated as unrestricted permission to release contact details.

If a provider is approached manually, SolarQuery should check relevance and confirm the necessary customer permission and access arrangements before releasing identifiable details. The provider must still meet the conditions for lead access.

5. Your agreement with a provider

Any site visit, scope of work, installation, inspection, maintenance or repair is agreed between the customer and the provider. The provider sets its service price, invoices the customer and receives payment directly. SolarQuery is not an escrow service or guarantor of those payments.

Before agreeing work, obtain a written proposal that explains the scope, exclusions, schedule, payment stages, applicable taxes, safety responsibilities, approvals and any service or equipment warranties. Clarify who is responsible for obtaining permits and for remedying defects.

Customers should make appropriate checks on the provider’s identity, competence, licences and insurance where relevant. Providers are responsible for the qualifications, permissions, staff, safety practices and lawful conduct required for their work. A registration, introduction or subscription does not represent government approval or a SolarQuery guarantee of workmanship.

A provider may use materials or equipment when performing its service. Those items and associated obligations form part of the separate provider agreement; they are not a SolarQuery product sale. Nothing here removes any statutory rights arising from that agreement.

6. Vendor registration and account responsibility

A provider must give accurate business and representative information, describe services truthfully and list only areas it can realistically serve. Keep that information current, including important changes in authorisation, contact details, capability or operating status.

SolarQuery may ask for information needed to review a registration, seek clarification or decline an unsuitable application. Registration does not automatically create an approved public profile, purchase a plan or guarantee a lead allocation. No approval or quality badge should be inferred unless its meaning and checks are explicitly described.

Protect account credentials and permit access only by authorised staff. Notify support of suspected compromise or unauthorised lead access. A provider remains responsible for its staff’s use of the account and must not share a subscription with unrelated businesses unless the plan expressly permits that use.

7. Subscriptions and access to leads

Providers obtain access according to the relevant purchased subscription. The plan must clearly state which services or locations it covers, the period of validity, any numerical limits and the conditions for seeing or unlocking contact details. No tier names, prices, lead quotas or launch discounts are promised on these pages.

A provider without the required entitlement may see a limited brief but must purchase the relevant subscription before viewing customer contact details. Entitlement checks belong on the server, not only in the browser. Buying a plan does not authorise access to every lead or to unrelated customer records.

A lead is an opportunity to discuss a project. Unless an accepted plan expressly states otherwise, leads are not guaranteed exclusive, accepted, current indefinitely or certain to produce revenue. A customer may compare providers, change requirements, postpone or decide not to proceed. A poor sales outcome alone is not a subscription refund entitlement.

Plan availability, prices, taxes, activation, expiry, renewal and cancellation terms must be disclosed before purchase. Any automatic renewal requires a clear advance explanation and the legally required authorisation. If recurring billing is offered, provide an accessible way to stop future charges and explain when the change takes effect. Registration does not authorise automatic renewal or recurring charges.

Purchased subscriptions are non-refundable under the ordinary cancellation rule described in the Refund Policy. That rule is subject to legal rights and correction of billing errors or failure to deliver the paid platform access.

8. Provider obligations when using a lead

  • Use the information only to assess and respond to the specific requested service.
  • Contact the customer professionally and at reasonable times, explaining your business identity.
  • Do not sell, export for unrelated use, scrape, publish or circulate customer details to other businesses.
  • Do not add the customer to a general marketing list without the separate permission needed for that use.
  • Protect the record, limit staff access and keep it only for a justified project or legal purpose.
  • Respect corrections, withdrawal and no-contact requests, and promptly report suspected misuse.
  • Do not imply that SolarQuery guarantees your work or that a customer must purchase from you.

Paying for a subscription grants controlled access, not ownership of the customer’s personal information. A provider is responsible for its own privacy notices and lawful handling when it uses the lead or begins a service relationship.

9. Acceptable use and information you submit

Do not attack or probe the service without authorisation, bypass access controls, create misleading profiles, impersonate another person, upload malicious content, automate mass collection, manipulate enquiry or review activity, or use the platform for unlawful or abusive conduct.

You retain rights in content you legitimately submit. You give SolarQuery the limited permission needed to store, review, display authorised business information and communicate the relevant project material for the platform purpose. This is not a licence to use private enquiry details as public advertising.

Submit business photographs, logos, descriptions and documents only if you have the necessary rights. Remove unrelated personal information. We may decline, correct with your input or remove material that is misleading, unlawful, infringing or outside the service scope.

10. Website content, images and calculator

Website explanations and the calculator are general planning aids. The calculator uses the assumptions entered or disclosed in the tool. It is not a site survey, financial quotation, savings promise, engineering recommendation or confirmation of local incentive eligibility.

A provider must assess the actual site, equipment and local requirements. Confirm any technical, tariff, incentive or approval information with the relevant competent source before relying on it for a purchase or installation decision.

Images marked as illustrative or AI-generated show concepts, not evidence of SolarQuery employees, offices, customers or completed projects. Sample service-location listings demonstrate possible enquiry categories and do not certify coverage.

SolarQuery branding and original site material are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Design and development attribution belongs to ThinkStart Private Limited. Do not copy branding or present the platform’s materials as an endorsement of your business without permission.

11. Access, changes and suspension

We may maintain or improve the platform and investigate suspected misuse. Access may be restricted where necessary for security, unlawful conduct, inaccurate registration information, non-payment or misuse of lead data. We should explain a restriction and offer a contact route where doing so is lawful and does not undermine an investigation.

A temporary interruption does not itself establish a right to compensation. However, if paid platform access is not delivered as agreed, report the issue so it can be corrected and any applicable remedy assessed. Suspension and changes do not override a specific paid commitment or a right required by law.

You may ask support to close a registration or account. Closure does not reverse a completed subscription purchase, erase legally required records or automatically settle an independent service contract. Any recurring payment arrangement must also be cancelled through its disclosed method.

12. Complaints and dispute handling

For platform, billing or privacy issues, email support@solarquery.com with the relevant reference and a clear description. Keep receipts and correspondence. A complaint should receive a traceable acknowledgement. The final grievance officer must be identified in this policy before launch; the proposed platform process is acknowledgement within 48 hours and resolution within one month, subject to applicable law.

For workmanship, scheduling or a project payment, first contact the independent provider responsible. SolarQuery may review conduct and help pass on the concern, but does not promise to adjudicate the contract or obtain a refund from that provider.

These terms do not prevent a lawful complaint to a consumer forum, regulator, payment provider, court or another competent authority. Any informal support conversation is not a mandatory waiver of those remedies.

13. Responsibility and legal limits

The platform does not promise that every enquiry will be serviceable, that a provider will respond or that a project will produce a particular result. We are not responsible merely because an independent provider is introduced; responsibility for each party’s own conduct remains governed by the contract and applicable law.

To the extent the law permits, SolarQuery does not accept liability for speculative sales opportunities, anticipated savings or indirect commercial losses that were not a foreseeable result of its own breach. This clause does not exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, obligations that cannot be excluded, or any remedy that applies to SolarQuery’s own deficient service.

No general wording in these terms should be read as a blanket waiver of customer rights or a licence for a provider to avoid responsibility for its work. A court or competent authority determines the effect of any limitation where disputed.

14. Governing law and updates

The platform’s India-facing terms are intended to be governed by Indian law, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdictional rules that apply. No exclusive court city is selected in this draft because the operator’s registered address has not been confirmed. For overseas users, mandatory local rights are preserved and market-specific terms require review before launch.

If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a general waiver. Changes should be dated and notified as appropriate; material changes to paid entitlements or data permissions require more than silently replacing this page.

Contact support@solarquery.com if you need the terms explained in a more accessible form. The final approved version should identify its effective date and provide a way to retain the terms accepted with a subscription.
